The world votes to abolish school grades: 60 % yes against 40 % no, with no undecided voters at all. A clear majority, but far from overwhelming.
Gender draws the sharpest line: women are unanimously in favour of abolition, while men split exactly in two. Voters with no declared gender fall entirely on the side of refusal.
Age sets two extremes against each other. The 18-to-24s, closest to their own schooling, vote unanimously for abolition; the over-65s reject it just as unanimously. In between, the 45-54s split into two equal halves.
This round drew no contributions at all: the debate stayed empty, despite a genuinely divided result. The verdict therefore rests entirely on the vote, with no argument to explain it.
It is an interesting case for the format: a subject that looks like consensus within one generation and its opposite in another, with nobody turning up to defend their position publicly. The gap between the 18-24s and the over-65s remains the only thing this round really teaches us.
